Significant moment for travis wetland
This is something that some people might find interesting and i think is quite a significant moment for the travis wetland restoration. I noticed that the first planted totara tree has come into fruit this year. Beautiful big luscious red fruit. There is only one out of the perhaps hundreds that have been planted. Surely a pinpoint moment towards the renewal of the ecosystem within the park. Like the totara a single kahikatea has been fruiting annually for around 4 years with seedlings appearing around its base. Exiting for the future in my opinion.
