ID For a Longhorn Beetle!

ID For a Longhorn Beetle!

Tried to find the name for this striking beetle but failed!

I was about to suggest you try Naturewatch, but first I trawled through some pictures there, figured it might be a Hybolasius, looked at some more pictures (https://inaturalist.nz/taxa/376654-Hybo ... wse_photos) and found yours right down the bottom! :D According to the NZ Inventory of Biodiversity there are 18 recognised species here, so that may be as good as you're going to get. Though with the depth of knowledge on Naturewatch you never know.

Thank you for your time and effort's to put a name to this handsome beetle David, much appreciated. I have not been on naturewatchnz for a long time, its a great resource so feel a bit guilty so my start putting up observations again! Regards Tom
