After info on Tarawa atoll and Kiribati

Has anyone out there been to Tarawa or other atolls in Kiribati? I'm looking for sites with mudflats that are likely to be attractive to migratory waders. Around the airport at Tarawa the habitat looks fantastic. Has anyone birded there and can share some knowledge of habitat, birds seen and accessibility? Cheers
