I didnt either actually. The last time they bred it was the best on record i think? I dont think we can top 24/25 chicks this year judging by what they say in regards to the rimu fruiting being very patchy but any increase in numbers is a damn sight better then nothing! if only they could stimulate breeding every couple of years rather then being so heavily dependent on rimu fruiting which appears to be very sporadic!
