Paradise Shelduck id help please.
Is the bird on the right an adult male in eclipse plumage or an immature male ? They called the typical male and female calls.

If you are right about the calls you have found an interesting partially white male. I think it is too late for it to be a juvenile female and the call would be different. There is a different eclipse plumage but you have to look hard to notice it.

Ian,
I recorded the calls and listened again at home - male and female. So would it be a partially white leucistic male ?

Pied adult male and his normal wife.
Pure white wing coverts told me the male is adult male, as immatures have grey colours on secondary coverts.
