Blumine Island

Postby cclar112 » Fri Jan 20, 2017 3:38 pm

Hi Folks,

Long way out but I am trying to get a boat organised for a morning trip to Blumine Island targetting Orange-fronted (Malherbe's) Parakeet on the 16th November 2017. I am visiting from Australia with my father but we ideally need at least 4 more people to get the boat for $99 per person.

If anyone is interested please reply below and I hopefully get the trip up.......!

I'd be very interested in such a trip.

Hi Olwen,
I'll re-post nearer the date and hopefully we can find another 2 or 3 takes to get the cost down to a sensible level......

Yep, I'd be interested in that trip too. You should repost this on the main general discussion page, I only came across this post by accident while looking at the events. Or maybe not, you might get 40-50 people on the trip......

This is the appropriate forum. If it is not useful to have a separate forum where you can quickly see if there are new posts like this it kinda calls into question the value in having this sub section.

Could you chuck it on your signature? Then you could advertise (if that's the word) just by posting.

Sure, if you want to use that as your "One line of self-promotion of your birding related endeavour".

Hi Colin,
I'm definitely keen and my Dad would probably come along too. Just got back from the sounds but didn't get to Blumine, so would be super keen to tick that off :)

Sounding promising :) I'll post again a bit nearer the date but I think with 5 the cost will be $120pp which is OK with us. Best price would be $99 if we get 6 or more.
