It looks like the Dead Sea Sparrow, is, as its name suggests, dead.

Here in NZ our neighbours have hens and the hen run isn't secure against sparrows so the manageable number that used to be around are now a vast flock of rapacious bird-feeder monsters that hog all the food and are a real pain. I suppose I should stop feeding all birds or enjoy the little rotters more as they are so scarce in UK now.
