West Coast (Kawhia) Pelagic

Postby RussCannings » Sun Jun 16, 2019 7:12 pm

Hi all,

After all these fulmars and other interesting reports from around NZ's coast, I'm finally getting my act together and looking into another Kawhia pelagic. While a date hasn't been set, I'm tentatively looking at one of the last 2 weekends of July for the first attempt. This (like our previous 2 trips out of here) would be a full day venture out of Kawhia travelling just over 12 nautical miles west of Gannet Island in search of whatever might be out there.

Please get in touch if you are interested: russellcannings79@gmail.com

Cheers,

I was just thinking earlier today that it must be nearly time for a Kawhia pelagic. Pencil me in (although I haven't asked the boss yet).

July 21 will be the first attempt if we can get enough people. Skipper said he saw a fulmar off kawhia less than a month ago.

Hi all,

Unfortunately it doesn't appear enough people are interested and/or available July 21 therefore I will look into a late August/early September date.

Russ
