3 Australian Gull-billed Terns, Manawatu Estuary

Neill Haggarty reported 2 Australian Gull-billed Terns reported via eBird at Manawatu Estuary on Saturday.

Then on Sunday he reported three there.

After a suggestion that one of them was a Common Gull-billed Tern, better photos show it to be an immature Australian GBT.

Neill Haggarty just reported via Facebook that all three of these gull-billed terns are present at Foxton now, viewing from the Dawick Street platform.

His photos show all three are Australian Gull-billed Terns.

Saw one bird this afternoon, same spot as reported earlier though likely further out on mudflats
