Long tailed Cuckoo calling

A Long-tailed Cuckoo was calling strongly 4-4.30pm at Centennial Park in Campbells Bay this afternoon.

It was up in the tall radiata pines and try as I might, I couldn't get a sighting.

The pines are near the start of the Raes Rd entry, just through the gateway on the LHS going down hill by first car pull-in spot.

Shining Cuckoos were calling there on Sunday afternoon, but no calls heard this afternoon.
