Splotterel at Big Sand Island - Kaipara

As a result of Gwenda Pulhams post to the BIRDING-NZ newsgroup it would seem that there is quite a lot of interest in the splotterel ( shore plover - dotterel hybrid). Gwenda has asked me to post some photo's, they are not A1. These photo's were taken on the 6 October 2009, at the Middle point on the eastern side of Big Sand Island, the same place that Gwenda & Paula-Jean saw the bird recently (12 June 2010). Hope they are helpful to all those interested.
