No sign over the last two days, probably put in a good ten hours across the scrapes, Westshore the ahuriri itself and the southern marsh. No phalaropes marsh sands or pectoral sands. Only birds of note we're heaps of black billed gulls, two pairs of blackfronted dotterels, a Kotuku flying down the channel south and east of the Ahuriri itself.

Also a single Arctic Skua at the Tukituki river mouth, looked very large relative to what I remember, only slightly smaller than the blackbacked Gull it was being chased by. Not a brown/sub Antarctic though of course but didn't look barrel chested enough for a Pom. Also a single flesh footed shear seen

No sign of the Phalarope or Marsh Sandpiper for 3 weeks now.
