its coming along really fine.

will the head gear grow much more before it departs ?

Attached is some photos from yesterday, the bird became a bit more active in the afternoon walking around and drinking some seawater when there was no puddles around its moult spot.
It should be leaving any day now after its done some waterproofing.

Hi Grace, when you saw it was it preening quite a bit of the time?

Haha was a great valentines day :) we went straight after work on Tuesday, got back home at 11.30ish

Yes a lot of the time, and flapping it's wings about every once in a while, also going to the water and drinking every so often. Definitely a lot more active than the first time we went to see it :)

I have just had a text from Paul Godolphin saying that after a lot of climbing aver dangerous rocks, it was visible on the outer rocks. Unable to see any trace of moult.
