Hi all
Northern Shoveller was seen on the strip ponds att the sewage plant at 10:00am today. Picked out easily amongst 150 other ducks when they were flushed by a plantt vehicle

We had a look at both Tip Lagoon and sewage ponds over the weekend with no luck, though there were three Aussie shelducks at Tip Lagoon.

Hi all,
A Canadian birder friend just texted me to say that he saw 1 drake NORTHERN SHOVELER at Tip Lagoon around noon today (Wed, Nov 29).
He also reports a large leopard seal showing well on the Milford Sound foreshore.
