Pacific Golden Plover Great Barrier Island

Please could I have this confirmed. Saw this lonely bird on the estuary at Medlands beach estuary.

Defiantly a Golden Plover, most likly a Pacific Golden Plover They are most commonly seen in NZ, The American Golden Plover is ocasionally seen but I cant tell the 2 species apart. Someone should be able to give an exact species.
Great pic i find these birds tricky to get close to

You are a long way from home! Yes, that is a Pacific Golden Plover without any doubt.
