White necked black swan and breeding plumage showing Royal spoonbill
Just few days ago saw spoonbill showing near full plumage on the lower Wairau and rather odd looking white necked black swan.

This bird's neck is quite a lot whiter, but it's similar to Neil and Tony's Leucistic Black Swan viewtopic.php?f=3&t=247&p=1360#p1361

Has anyone seen this bird again since the photo was posted?

Is it a full adult bird, I wonder, because it looks like it's an immature bird in the photo. That may explain why it looks smaller than the two all-black birds and has a more rounded head and smaller bill.
