Put your headphones on, or speakers up, it's a sound recording this month. As always, if you have any technical difficulties playing it, just drop me a line.

Answers for this challenge are due by replying to this topic by midnight (NZDT) on Wednesday 15 December 2010.

Answers will not be visible to anyone else until after the closing date.

The winner of the 2010-2011 ID Quiz will get one free place on a scheduled Wrybill Birding Tours, NZ pelagic trip, AND each person who enters this challenge goes into the draw to win a pair of Nikon Travelite V 8x25CF binoculars just for having a go, thanks to Photo & Video International!

Brings back memories of waking up to that sound coming from directly underneath me at 1.30am, alone in a hut on the west coast of Northland about 30 years ago - Blue Penguin.

Again, to avoid me forgetting to return and make a more educated response, I'll got for Little (Blue) Penguin here and now.

Haha it's a group of overseas birders sleeping in the back seat of a Wrybill Tours van!
Either that, or Blue Penguin.

I am pretty sure it's a seabird of some description, lol.
I will go with little blue penguin with a Tiritiri Matangi Is. dialect :)
