Maui's Dolphins Otaki Beach

Postby GrahamB » Sun Sep 03, 2023 4:43 pm

Fairly sure that Claire and I saw two (?,>1) Maui's Dolphins swimming slowly south, about 500m off Otaki Beach (from surf club car park), yesterday about noon. Small, darkish-backed and low round dorsal fin.
Cheers, GrahamB

Also, my first Fernbird at the Pauatahanui Reserve today.

That's really cool, hopefully they are still in the area, I might have a look after school today!
