Hi folks, my kids bought these fossil shark teeth from the Te Papa Museum kids gift shop last week., I don't know much about fossil shark teeth but they seemed to have lots for sale. So are these really fossils or is it more likely they were pulled from some poor shark last month in Taiwan or somewhere and now sold here as "fossils"? Can anyone educate me?
Discuss natural history subjects not strictly related to birds. Reports of interesting mammal, reptile, and invertebrate sightings are welcome.

Here they are on the British Fossils website - https://www.britishfossils.co.uk/produc ... eeth-pack/ - seems to be a legit company, based in Dorset, "just 20 miles from The Jurassic Coast", though they don't claim that's where their material comes from. Been operating for 30 years they say.
