Little Black Shag taxonomy

This new paper on the Indian Cormorant shows that it is sister to the Little Black Shag.

The phylogenetic placement of the enigmatic Indian Cormorant, Phalacrocorax fuscicollis (Phalacrocoracidae)

FYI - Here's a couple of pics of Indian Little Cormorants taken in Northern Sumatra (we're they've recently colonised) a few weeks ago. They have proportionately long tails but stumpy bills.
