New Spotted Shag genetic study

A new study of the endemic New Zealand Spotted Shag has found there is no genetic difference between Spotted Shags and putative 'Blue Shags', but that the 'northern' Hauraki Gulf Spotted Shag population is a unique genetic lineage in danger of extirpation.
