Postby Michael Szabo » Sat Sep 21, 2019 7:47 am

Another extinct prehistoric bird species has been described from fossils found in New Zealand. The new species was a petrel-like seabird that had bony, tooth-like projections on the edge of its long and heavy bill. At 62 million years old, it is one of the oldest named bird species in the world.
