Anyone know if waders have been surveyed in the Cooks?

Postby andrewcrossland » Fri Aug 07, 2020 8:03 pm

Hi team,

hey aside from a few records from visiting holiday makers and the occasional flycatcher-focused ecologist and a 1981 paper by Peter Childs in Notornis, does anyone know if waders have been systematically surveyed in the Cook Islands? And if so, I'd be really grateful for any references to look at.
cheers

I'm not sure about systematic surveys but this website is a good resource for the Cook Islands fauna and flora http://cookislands.pacificbiodiversity. ... earch.html - you can specify birds in the search option and click on each species to access information on their status.

Cheers

Quentin
