Hi Michael, the story isn’t showing in the link - maybe it slipped down the Facebook feed. Do you reckon you could cut and paste the main facts of the sightings?
I don’t speak French but there’s a couple of posts that seem to be referring to house crows? Can anyone translate? Have they arrived by ship to New Caledonia. It’s a pity we have that language barrier and as a consequence have such limited contact with New Caledonia and it’s ornithological community

According to Google Translate, a House Crow was first seen on the ferry quay in Noumea on 7/5/21, and a few days later, a second one was confirmed to be present. They were first positively identified on 22/5/21. This is probably the first sighting of the House Crow in New Caledonia. The pair have consistently remained in the ferry quay area and are believed to have been ship-assisted. They have been reported to the relevant authorities.

I have translated all the information that was in a reply to my quesion asking where they (Pluvier à double collier, Charadrius bicinctus) were seen in New Caledonia. There was no more in formation, and i didn't see anything posted by them about House Crows in New Caledonia.
