Fiji Petrel, Gau

Postby Michael Szabo » Thu Jun 02, 2022 3:14 pm

Robert flood reports today via Facebook: "After 6 days at sea, continuous chumming off Gau, Fiji, this Fiji Petrel rose up from the slick and gave decent views for several minutes. No further sightings in the next 2 days. Possibly the rarest tubenose on Earth with an estimated <50 pairs in 2009. An encounter that I will not forget. Record shot Hiro Tanoi."
