35 New Caledonian Storm Petrels, Queensland seamounts

Steve Wood and I recently returned from a very successful 3-day pelagic trip from Southport out to the Queensland seamounts off Australia, organised by Paul Walbridge (1st–3rd April).
We recorded the following species/numbers:
White-tailed Tropicbird – 3 (1)
Band-rumped Storm-Petrel – 10 (3)
Wilson’s Storm-Petrel – 105 (12)
White-faced Storm-Petrel – 6 (1)
White-bellied Storm-Petrel – 10 (2)
Black-bellied Storm-Petrel – 2
New Caledonian Storm-Petrel – 35 (5)
Wedge-tailed Shearwater – 10 (2)
Flesh-footed Shearwater – 172 (60)
Short-tailed Shearwater – 3 (1)
Hutton’s Shearwater – 7 (1)
Black Petrel – 2 (1)
Tahiti Petrel – 48 (10)
Grey-faced Petrel – 266 (60)
Kermadec Petrel – 17 (2)
Providence Petrel – 14 (2)
Gould’s Petrel – 2 (1)
South Polar Skua – 1
Pomarine Jaeger – 2 (1)
Long-tailed Jaeger – 4 (1)
White Tern – 10 (4)
Common Noddy – 6 (1)
Sooty Tern – 17 (4)
