Hi all,
Heading over to Tongatapu and 'Eua for a week (on Wednesday). This is a casual family trip with little ones (though bringing some optics of course!), but if anyone has any post-Volcano tips; particularly if anyone knows where the best wader roosts are on Tongatapu I'd appreciate any thoughts!

Re: Tonga advice
Ela and I had a day in Nuku'Alofa in November last year. We just traveled on foot (be wary of the dogs), but had some godwits, tattlers and PGPs along the waterfront at Vuna Road: https://ebird.org/checklist/S154598808
Pretty easy viewing of great frigates and crested terns along the coast. Other highlights in and around town were the pacific imperial-pigeons, white-rumped swiftlets, eastern wattled honeyeaters, polynesian trillers, polynesian starlings, pacific swallows, and pacific kingfishers. Be interested to know how different it is a month earlier.

Re: Tonga advice
Oof. Is it too late to give advice? I lived there for 16 years.
