Lets Revive this Subforum!

Postby Samsperdy » Sat Jul 16, 2022 2:27 pm

Calling all young birders!
This subforum has been inactive for quite a while and so it be great to get it back up and running again. The main reason for this thread is for people to give ideas on how we can really get this subforum more active. Some ideas I had was that we could do quizzes to do with bird calls, or maybe a competition of some kind.
A reason why this subforum became inactive was also because of the fact that Facebook had become the more prominent messaging and sharing platform. It would also be good to make groupchats on other social medias aswell.
If you’re not a ‘young’ birder and still want to lend ideas or help out, feel free to join in!
If you have any problems just PM me or ask down below.
Cheers,
Sam

Great! I was planning to start a monthly or so quiz for 2023. If you want to help me plan it out and help create it, just ask me!
Cheers,
Sam

Awesome to get some responses,
If you want to get the young birders moderator role you should probably private message Neil for it. I was thinking we could make a Google Drive for the planning of the competition as its a relatively easily accessible page as most people have an google email account. It’ll be good to be able to make a private group chat for all of us but since Birding nz doesn't really have that feature that would mean moving to a different messaging platform. But I reckon we can make do on Google Drive. Of course this is all just suggestions and if you have some better ideas let me know,
Cheers,
Sam
