If you want a great way to learn more about birds, try NZ Birds Online. I must warn you, it can get a little addictive (or maybe that's just me xD). If you don't mind me asking, whereabouts are you from? It would be cool to find some other YB's in your area.... pleasebeWaikatopleasebeWaikatopleasebeWaikato... :)

Welcome! As Liam said it's awesome to have another youngin around - this is the right place, haha, you'll learn heaps.
See ya 'round.

George

(EDIT: Just thought I'd mention, I'm in Wellington so probs not around you, but if you're ever down this way I'm more than happy to point you in the direction of some cool birdies)

Of course I'd be the same as George, although sometimes I feel like I can't tell a Spoonbill from a spatula :D

Lol, hahaha XD
Spoonbills are odd-looking, man. I don't think I'll be able to believe they're really real until a see one irl XD

Also, just while I'm getting the hang of this site, hehe, to what purpose do you report bird-sightings? (: Do you only report species rare to the area, or if the birds are doing something unusual, or just whenever anything interests you? c: Thanks! c:
