Bird Quiz #2

Postby Michael » Thu May 05, 2016 7:31 pm

Hi everyone,
Time for bird quiz number two!! This time it is a hybrid between picture and field notes, so be prepared for a challenge! Again, it is a fairly common bird, so hopefully you've all bumped into it sometime in the past!

Note the bluish grey head, fine bill and sparrow like markings on the body. Fed on ground. Only seen for short period of time before flew away.

Well done to everyone!
Great to see several of the names used for this species, some very groovy answers!!
Yes, this bird is a Dunnock, Hedge Sparrow or Hedge Accentor.

Great to see some extra answers, rather than just George.
