Is this a Black-tailed Godwit?

Could this be the same Black-tailed Godwit Steve Wood saw in Motueka? Unfortunately this is the only photo I have of this particular bird. The bill tip is obscured by another Godwit, so it can't be determined whether it is straight. The plumage appears to be a duller brownish grey and less scaly than the Bar-tailed Godwits surrounding it. Photo taken last Saturday at the Sandspit.
