Hi,
I am in the process of compiling photos for a new book on New Zealand birds. The book focusses on identification with the idea to show as many species and plumages as possible. There are now only a few last species and plumages missing. I attach the list below.
I would like to ask if anyone in this forum might have photos of the missing species and would like to contribute them to the book.
I would also be very grateful if anyone could point me to people who might have some of the missing photos.
Thanks a lot and
Kind regards
Matthias
Species / plumages missing
Chinstrap Penguin (adult, juvenile)
Grey-headed Mollymawk (3rd, 4th cycle)
Auckland Islands Rail
Sarus Crane (in flight showing upperwing)
Snares Island Snipe

Re: Photos for a book on New Zealand birds
Hey Matthias,
Good to hear from you, hope all is well across the ditch.
I’ve got one or two usable Kakapo photos. I know Oscar has better ones but happy to share mine in the meantime.
Will also try and find photos of a ECP from my Heritage trip, and might have some Great Shearwater ones from my England Trip. Will let you know.
