Wader ID

Postby sandyw » Fri Apr 16, 2021 6:54 pm

This bird was at Karamea estuary (south end) on 3 April 2021. It was the only one of its type with quite a few SIPO about. Is it just a bar tailed godwit, or something more unusual? I last saw godwits at Foxton a few weeks prior and they were all showing colour to some extent.
