A tradgedy. 5 dead. The skipper apparently among those rescued. Although headlines refer to fishing charter, the reports refer to bird-watchers and there are suggestions a whale capsized the boat.
Terrible news. I'm sure many of us will be eager for more details.

RNZ now reporting that "The five people who died when a boat capsized at Goose Bay were from the Nature Photography Society of New Zealand on a field trip."

It seems they were all ladies on the monthly fieldtrip held by nature photography. I guess they prefered this charter to the Albatross Encounter boat for photograph opportunities. it's a terrible event.
