Help to find out what Tara or White-fronted Terns are eating by taking part in a new photo competition that is also a citizen science project. The aim is to source as many different photos of Tara with prey in their bills as possible. This will help to determine what prey are important at different times during the breeding season – when they are courting and when they are feeding chicks.
Please submit your entries before 10th February 2023. All details of how to enter and prizes are posted online here:

Re: Tara/White-fronted Tern photo competition
With so many recent sightings of White-winged Black Terns and Little Terns around the country it's well worth keeping an eye out for these species - and any other unusual terns - while visiting flocks/colonies of White-fronted Terns to get photos of them with food items for this photo competition.
