Bird call ID (with sound)

Postby Cycl9ne » Sat Apr 22, 2023 12:56 pm

Would like some help ID'ing a bird heard amongst some vocal pied stilts please. Initially thought to be a juvenile pied stilt, but possibly a crake species or a pukeko?

I think it's a stilt. Not the classic piping sound of a juvenile, but a stilt nevertheless.
