Possible Tomtit?

Postby AlexBarber » Sat Dec 07, 2024 11:53 am

Can anyone identify this persistent call I keep hearing in my suburban Northcote, Auckland garden? The garden borders onto a dense bush reserve. I think it might be a tomtit.

I have to admit I struggle with the user-friendliness of this site. I have created a Vimeo account, uploaded the MP4 file containing the call and then attempted to paste the Vimeo URL into the post. Can you advise the correct procedure, or if I am doing something wrong?

Did you possibly delete part of the URL?

This URL (fully correct as per Vimeo) worked when I tested it before posting but now, after logging out and then back in to Birding NZ, it gives a "cannot find" response. Do you know if I have ot use the URL button and, if so, when and how?

What you need to try, Alex, is log in and open your video. You then click on 'Share', click on 'Copy Link' and then paste that link into this forum.

Hopefully that will work.

Cheers

No go. It seems to work only if I am logged in to Vimeo under my account while clickng on the pasted link on this forum. I give up.

Don't give up just yet, Alex. You may need to change the privacy settings for your video.
