Re: White Birds - photos and discussion
Another blackbird to add to the list, yesterday, on the walkway from Fraser St to Yatton Park at Tauranga. I saw a male with white streaks on its right side. It took off towards the houses before I could get a photo and I didn't see it again.

There is a leucistic sparrow that seems to like hanging around a Couplands near my house. I pass it biking home from school often and I see it about 1/3 of the time. I know that the sparrows like to nest in the trees around there so I wonder if it resides in that area?

This looks more like a juvenile Blackbird moulting into his first full plumage?

Yes, moulting, not leucistic as I'd first assumed. Learning again from my mistakes - thanks David.
