Common, Arctic, Antarctic, Rosette Tern ID Link

Postby Adam C » Mon Apr 15, 2019 10:29 pm

Hi all.

Not hugely relevant to most of you (especially here in NZ) but this is another great link for Tern IDs between Common, Arctics etc. Even though our Common is a different race with bill colour etc.

Some might find this interesting.

Adam.

I think it would be great to have something similar to the above put together for New Zealand Terns as it's well written and really well put together. Terns are such a fascinating and often challenging subject I think there are many who would benefit from it. Anyway just some late night thoughts...happy birding all :)

Ian Southey has done an article on our terns in the Birds NZ magazine, which you should be able to search for through the publications link in www.osnz.org.nz It is very good. Someone may be able to put a link up?
