I found a few!
On the griffins mallow puffs raspberry the kingfisher is a common kingfisher. also on the packet there is also a hummingbird.
Aswell as that I also found a picture frame being sold at the Warehouse of a common kingfisher.
Both these ‘crimes’ aren’t super misleading or anything but would just like to point them out.

The wrong kingfisher is as ubiquitious as ever in 2022 and the poor old pest control outfits are still relying on images grabbed from online libaries to make their websites look a bit sub-par.....

On the way to Lake Ellesmere early this morning to look for the Long-toed Stint (while the kids were still asleep and Santa's con trail was still visible in the dawn sky) I was intrigued by the new "wildlife crossing" signs put up on the road side by the Lincoln wetlands?! Super excited to see there could be some Grey Herons around? ......

Close, it’s an icterid blackbird. A yellow-headed blackbird to be exact.

I think that it is a Yellow-hooded Blackbird (Chrysomus icterocephalus).

I remember that goodnature, the company that makes the A24 rat traps, had either the same or a very similar photo of that species to represent the Mohua on their website a few years ago.

The Christchurch Press's recent travlel supplement has good me pretty excited - I'd be really happy to see these gulls over the summer vacation!!
