I don't like how they're using a gull, even if it's not a NZ species.
Too many people think of gulls as a pest, and that's probably a large reason to why their conservation status here is widely unknown.
Having an image of a gull on your pest control company is not doing our threatened gull species any favors

Some more adverts from the Falcon's Landing subdivision near Christchurch. I'm surprised they got away this this wording....... its a bit crass isn't it? And yes, they've finally worked out what a falcon looks like, but still not the right falcon sp.

NZ King Salmon Ltd have put together a very good and detailed guide to marine mammals and birds found in the Marlborough Sounds. Its worthwhile double-checking every large gull you see if you visit the sounds as option number 2 would be pretty awesome to find!!

This is a species entry for a bird ID guide for Grovetown Lagoon in Marlborough. I'd be pretty happy to see one of these in the South Island rather than the promised Bittern!

Not a bird, but look at this design that was used on a Rubik's Cube:

And yet again a wrong kingfisher. It was on a door with other native/endemic birds.
