Hi Phil, I have heard Blackbirds, Dunnocks and a thrush in full song several times during my lockdown walks here in Dunedin over the last few weeks as well.

First Song Thrush for the season this morning, blasting away, then silent in the rain and cold for the rest of the day. Anyone else have them singing yet?

One was singing strongly on Sunday afternoon, in a plantation about 10km north of Balclutha.

Yup, Song Thrush singing at Russell at 1700, 5 May 2020.

When I hear them I think of the part poem...
"That's the wise thrush; he sings each song twice over,
Lest you should think he never could recapture
The first fine careless rapture!"...

First blackbird full song I've heard this season here in Auckland. A beautiful crescent moon twilight in Remuera.
