I found a record from three days ago of a maned duck at the hoddy estuary park eBird hotspot, I’m not sure if that was intentional or not, I don’t know how rare they are in nz

This is a known location for what is a small breeding population. They arrived about 10 years ago at the playhouse cafe ponds and have spread out in the area in low numbers.

Had an alert come up this morning for a Grey Warbler-finch Certhidea fusca in Waiouru, normally range being a few islands in the Galapagos group. CHECKLIST S122529096

yeah i saw that probably a mis identified grey warbler and on Ebird as grey gerygone
