Red-billed gull nesting?? On a building roof

Was at the vegan vibes at the mount rising tides bar. Saw a couple of red-billed gulls taking nesting material to the top of a building in the commercial area across the road. Was wondering if they have been known to do so or is this a first

Hundreds nested on the roof of the Countdown in Oamaru last year. Seven Sharp also ran a story on it just in the past month or so
