cryptic wetland bird monitoring_banded rail vs pūweto

We are targeting 3 species in our wetland monitoring (spotless crake, fernbird and banded rail) via playback of all 3 at each point and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on whether playing the banded rail would bias our results i.e. the banded rail call would affect the response of the crake?

Maybe. And maybe doing it in reverse order would affect something else. Unless you want to do a big complex experiment, only the birds will probably know. More importantly, what is the purpose of the monitoring? Change over time? Comparison with other sites? Something else?
