WINTER 2023 : The Petrel Station pelagic seabird tours (offshore from Tutukaka, Northland, New Zealand).
Here's The Petrel Station pelagic seabird tour dates for winter 2023:
– 19 June (Monday) - WORLD ALBATROSS DAY – only 2 places left
– 8 July (Saturday) – TRIP FULL
– 6 August (Sunday)
– 23 August (Wednesday)
– 4 September (Monday)
The colder, winter months are when the albatross and a mix of southern seabirds come north up to our area, and we’ve had some real winter rarities show up. Past visitors have included Blue Petrel, Pink-footed Shearwater, 4 Prion species to name a few so there’s no telling what could turn up. The local winter breeding seabirds are also around in good numbers too.
Get in touch if you’re keen for a great day out with some stunning seabirds - The best way to experience these seabirds is out on the ocean, in their world :)
