Tomorrow (Saturday, May 4) is the ebird Global Big Day. A chance to get out of the house and contribute to global bird distribution and abundance knowledge while also wrecking up the biggest one day collective global list ever. How many species can we get in NZ if we work together? Maybe a bit of competition as well--who will see the list birds tomorrow? Who will submit the most checklists? What region will score the highest list?
I'll be working the Hauraki/Coromandel districts (eg Miranda) for at least part of the day. Hope to see some of you out there! (Just watch out for duck shooters)
Ps Maybe post below where you land to go tomorrow
Upcoming birding events. Announce your counts, field trips, working bees, cost-share birding trips etc.
