The really big news is that you no longer have to worry about resizing your photos before uploading them (as long as they are less than 10 MB) — the website will do it for you. Photos can also be much larger than they could before. Photos will show in posts up to 900 pixels wide (and if you don't want the website to do anything to your photos they must be no bigger than this), and if there is a larger version of the image you can see it by clicking it. You can easily tell if there is a larger version by the red border you'll see when you mouse over a photo (as in the photos below).
There are a few reasons you might still want to resize your photos before uploading, such as to save your bandwidth, or to make them less desirable to thieves, but that is up to you.
- You can now drag and drop photos in to message posting box from your desktop or file browser (you can still use the "add files" button to browse to the photo as before). The file will be uploaded and the details will show on the attachments tab.
- Enter a caption for your photo in the box on the attachments tab. You can post the message now and the photo will appear at the bottom of your post. I'f you would like it in a particular place, simply click the cursor where you want it in your message then click the "Place inline" button.
