Banded Caspian Tern , Waikanae Estuary .

Same walk , Saturday 16 January, as I saw the banded Dotterel , about 50 metres away were two Caspian Terns Keen on my photography , but again did not notice the bands until up on the computer screen .Caspian Terns not as approachable as the White Fronted Terns or the young Dotterels . Band colours are Left - Silver . Right - Green above Red .
