Hey Sue, that is a great record and would be worth submitting to the NZ Bird Atlas via eBird. If you are unfamiliar with eBird and want any help at all, please don't hesitate to reach out to me via nzbirdatlas(at)wmil.co.nz - I'm based in Marlborough and am more than happy to teach you how to use it and discuss the value of uploading these types of records to the Atlas database. I believe you bumped in to Bill Cash and he gave you an Atlas card too, so hopefully we can get you involved in the largest citizen science project in Aotearoa!

As much I dislike having multiple reporting platforms (that don't always combine easily, e.g. via GBIF), it's worth being aware that they do exist.
